First the students will watch the video straight through without the teacher stopping to explain content. The second time the class watches the video, the teacher will stop at various points throughout to discuss and clarify comprehension and understanding. The class will begin to build a list of words and phrases that are new to the students.
After watching the video twice, the teacher will review the oral component of the NLA literacy loop with the students. The teacher will demonstrate the answer before asking a question related to the content from the video and the conversation will deliberately incorporate the newly learned vocabulary and grammatical structures.
